Top Real Estate Company in Bangladesh
October 2, 2024 Real Estate Industry

Bangladesh as a nation may have been born after 9 months of perseverance in 1971, but there are real estate developers in this country that have existed here since before the Liberation War. There is no single specific measure that is used to display or check whether a real estate company is considered to be amongst the best in Bangladesh. Here are some parameters that may be considered in conjunction before compiling this list:

  • market share, or what percentage of the market is dominated by that particular company
  • size of the company as measured by the total number of employees they have in a year
  • market presence in the local industry
  • number of years of remarkable service on offer compared to competitors’
  • high quality work and amazing after-sales/customer service

Following all of the above parameters, we have managed to gather enough information to organize the top real estate companies of Bangladesh. However, please note that this list has not been arranged in any particular order; meaning that it does not signify whether the topmost name is the best in the business or not.

 1. building technology & ideas ltd. (bti)

Of all the real-estate companies that are part of the Bangladeshi industry at the moment, bti, also known as building technology and ideas ltd., is currently at the top of the industry. With over 4 decades of expertise under its belt and more than 6 Strategic Business Units (SBUs) – Brokerage, SFS (Square Feet Story), PSM (Property Security and Management), Landscapers, TBC (The Business Center) and bti Building Products; bti is continuing in its pursuit of excellence. It is truly amazing that bti did this all while fulfilling its mission of “making homeownership a joyful experience”–something their 7000+ customer base will readily vouch for!

2. Bay Developments ltd.

Closely following bti is Bay Developments ltd., a real estate company that has a minimalistic approach in its style of architecture, with their core focus lying in functionality, durability, safety, as well as comfort. Bay, like bti, has also been trying to closely incorporate landscaping in its buildings in order to create greener products for a sustainable environment.

3. Shanta Holdings ltd.

Shanta did not begin its journey as a real estate company. At its inception, Shanta was a giant in the RMG sector, being forerunners in RMG Export. Eventually they dissolved the RMG company and dived headfirst into their passion for construction in 2005 – which is where their journey as a real estate company truly began. Since then, Shanta has focused on both luxury residential development & commercial construction. In all of their work, they try to strictly follow their motto, which is “setting standards.”

4. Navana Real Estate ltd.

Amongst all of the real estate companies of Bangladesh that have been listed here, Navana is another one of the older companies that has been around for over 28 years. While they do work on both commercial and residential complexes, they have branched out to include condominiums and land too. They focus on making comfort a common theme that resonates within each project, with the highlight being on organic designs, dynamic postures, and imposing structures.

5. Anwar Landmark ltd.

Anwar Group is one of the oldest companies in the country, having started their business as early as 1834. They are said to have laid the foundation for Bangladesh’s Industrial Revolution, strengthening their hold in the banking, textiles, electrical cables and building materials industries

Comfort and tranquility are the two buzz words that are the key to the design philosophy adopted by Anwar Landmark ltd. They believe in building timeless classics that people will remember time after time.

6. Concord Real Estate ltd.

Concord is a real estate and construction conglomerate, which is reflected in the number of projects (1200) it claims to have successfully completed in over 49 years of experience. Their claim to fame, perhaps, is the fact that they built the National Martyr’s Monument in only 89 days.

7. Credence Housing Limited

Compared to the other companies on this list thus far, Credence Housing Limited is still a baby, barely having been operating in the real estate industry for eight years. Credence caters to the lifestyle you have, as well as the one that you aspire for. Credence Housing aims to redefine conventional ways of living; and its vision is to become the top real estate development company in Bangladesh.

8. Asset Developments & Holdings ltd.

Asset is a real estate company that rose to prominence by launching a multitude of residential projects in the greater Dhanmondi area during the late 90’s-early 2000’s period. While the start of their journey was in a specific area of Dhaka, eventually they managed to spread out through the entire city, and now have residential projects mushrooming up in Gulshan, Banani, Bashundhara, Baridhara, Uttara, Hatirpool and even in Midtown.

9. ABC Real Estates ltd.

Just like Anwar Landmark, ABC Group started their humble journey with a fertilizer factory, a power plant, as well as a machine tools factory. They also had a construction business running in parallel to their other concerns. Eventually, though, ABC decided to invest the majority of its efforts into the real-estate company. Aside from the residential and commercial projects, ABC has also constructed a number of highly important buildings and infrastructure, such as the Dhaka Ahsania Mission Cancer Hospital, North South University, Grameenphone Headquarter, The Oasis – Gated Community on Ispahani Colony, Terminal 3 of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, and many more.

10. UDDL

One of the younger companies on this list, Urban Design & Development Ltd. was formed in 1995 by a young visionary entrepreneur, Mr. Nazim Uddin Ahmed, who dreamt of starting a company fueled by his passion for and guided by his expertise in real estate. A huge portion of their projects are residential ones, in which they wish to set new benchmarks for design, sustainability & lifestyle. Like Asset, most of UDDL’s completed projects are situated in the Dhanmondi – Lalmatia area. Recently, they have launched a property brokerage service called “Urban Property Associates”.

In a country as diverse and dynamic as Bangladesh, each of the top real estate companies caters to a different section of the population. All of these companies together, however, are working to provide housing solutions for the people of Bangladesh. Although there is competition in the industry, it is at a healthy level, which encourages the best possible outcomes, meaning high-quality homes at great prices for the people of the country.
