Job Context
To oversee, manage, and coordinate all activities of the metal workshop, ensuring efficient production, safety compliance, proper maintenance of tools and machinery, and delivery of high-quality fabricated metal products.Job Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the metal workshop, including cutting, welding, machining, fitting, and finishing.
- Plan, assign, and monitor tasks for workshop staff, ensuring timely completion of workshop jobs to meet project timelines.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop equipment, tools, and machines.
- Monitor quality standards for all fabricated products and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts; coordinate procurement.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to workshop technicians and helpers.
- Prepare job schedules, progress reports, and production records.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure preventive maintenance of machinery.
- Coordinate with project engineers for technical drawings, requirements, and deadlines.
- Identify areas for process optimization and waste reduction.
- Introduce new methods, techniques, and technologies to improve efficiency.
- Motivate staff to achieve higher productivity and quality standards.

Educational Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.Experience Requirements
- 7–10 years of practical experience in metal fabrication, machining, or workshop management.
Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining, and finishing processes.
- Hands-on knowledge of workshop machines (cutting, grinding, welding sets, etc.).
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Capable to work under pressure.
