Job Context

As a Fire Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining fire safety measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all people, and property. You will play a critical role in developing and executing fire safety plans, conducting fire risk assessments, and educating personnel on fire safety procedures. The primary objective of this position is to create a secure and compliant environment that minimizes fire hazards and responds effectively to emergencies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fire safety policies, protocols, and procedures in compliance with local fire codes and regulations.
  • Conduct regular fire risk assessments and inspections of all facilities and premises to identify potential fire hazards and safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure fire safety measures are integrated into various operational processes and construction projects.
  • Organize and conduct fire safety training sessions for employees, educating them on evacuation procedures, fire extinguisher usage, and other relevant safety protocols.
  • Oversee the maintenance, and testing of fire detection and suppression systems, such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
  • Develop emergency response plans and coordinate fire drills and evacuation exercises to enhance preparedness and response efficiency.
  • Investigate and report on fire incidents, accidents, or near-miss situations, providing recommendations for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Keep abreast of fire safety regulations, best practices, and technological advancements in fire safety systems and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fire safety inspections, training sessions, and equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct periodic audits of fire safety practices and equipment to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Develop and manage fire safety communication materials to raise awareness and promote a safety-conscious culture.
  • Coordinate with finance and accounts department regarding matters involve with them.

Additional Requirements

  • Age 25 to 35 years
  • Thorough understanding of building fire safety regarding the BNBC code, Rajuk rules and safety regulations, and best practices. Familiarity with fire detection and suppression systems, fire alarms, sprinklers, and fire extinguishers.
  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures and incident management.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver effective training sessions, write reports, and interact with employees, management, and external agencies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify potential fire hazards and assess fire safety risks in various settings.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to conducting inspections and maintaining accurate records.
  • Knowledge is required for a bill of quantity (BOQ) for fire safety & logistics maintenance-related works.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and auto CAD (2D-3D).
  • Interpersonal skill & leadership capability
